Veterinarian
HSCC is a nonprofit organization that is seeking a responsible full or part time veterinarian to oversee our clinic that offers spay/neutering, medical assessment and treatment for our shelter animals and spay/neutering for owned pets and TNR cats. We are looking for a friendly professional who is a team player. HSCC encourages work life balance which is why we offer a flexible schedule. You will be supported by the executive director, the board of directors as well as shelter staff.

General Requirements:
· This position requires the ability to do 25 + spay/neuters on surgery days.
· Ability to provide guidance for staff regarding veterinary matters
· Possess ability to work with animals of unknown disposition, medical concerns, size and strength.
· Possess a positive attitude,
· Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with staff, volunteers and public pet owners in a professional, pleasant and tactful manner at all times.
· Must possess and maintain an active Maryland Veterinary license or must obtain a Maryland Veterinary license before start date.
· Maintain timely and accurate records in both logbooks and shelter software.
