Tom’s Second Chance:
" Tom, formerly known as Phoenix, was adopted in 2016 from the Humane Society of Charles County by a very loving couple who found him in the Cat Room. Tom was found/turned into your care as a young kitten. He was fostered and put up for adoption. Unfortunately, he was then returned because the adopter’s child was allergic.
So when we met him in the adoption room, at the age of 5 months, he’d had a life of impermanence and disappointment. But we saw he was skilled at playing with and getting along with all the cats in the adoption room, even the cranky ones. So we thought he would know how to fit in with our other three rescue cats. He’s a most resilient cat. We’re so grateful your organization was there to help him survive his rocky start in life and help him find his forever home with us."
