Planned Giving

Keep your legacy of supporting the Humane Society of Charles County alive with planned giving.

Through a will or trust, you can bequeath a set dollar amount, a percentage of your total estate, or all/part of the remainder of your estate.  Planned giving is not limited to monetary values. You can also bequeath stocks, real estate, or other properties to the Humane Society of Charles County.

We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization registered in the state of Maryland, and all contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

To set up a planned gift, please contact your attorney and provide them with our name, address, and Federal Tax ID 52-1212430.  If you do not have an attorney to assist you, the attorneys at Alexander & Cleaver, P.A., may be able to help.

Other Ways to Plan a Gift

Another way to support us is with a gift of Life Insurance, either by naming the Humane Society of Charles County as a beneficiary on the Life Insurance Policy or by transferring ownership of the policy. You can also name the Humane Society of Charles County as a beneficiary of your Retirement Account (an IRA, 401(k), 403(k), Keogh account, or other qualified retirement plans).
