Every year shelters across the country are overwhelmed with the arrival of thousands of neonatal kittens who, without the intervention and care of fosters, are unable to survive.

The need for foster families during kitten season is enormous. At HSCC we handle approximately 400 kittens annually and are so grateful for all of the selfless fosters who open their homes and hearts to these vulnerable fur babies. Kittens from new born “bottle babies” to 4 week old “self-feeder” all need to live in foster homes where they can grow and thrive until they are ready for adoption. If this sounds like something you might like to learn about, the Kitten Shower and Foster Kitten Orientation is for you! We will present all of the in’s and out’s of KITTEN FOSTERING during this Virtual Kitten Shower and Foster Orientation. With more than a decade of experience fostering several hundred kittens, our very own Vickie Brosky will share her teach you everything you need to know about fostering those adorable bundles of fur. From bottle babies to mush-eaters to self-feeding kittens. As a longtime Humane Educator and Foster Mentor Vickie will answer all of your questions and teach you all of the tricks of the trade! We do have kittens arriving daily so the need for more fosters is essential. Kittens are so much fun to foster!!!!

Lastly, check out our Kitten Shower Wish List to send a shower gift to the shelter if you would like to send a donation in preparation of our new arrivals coming this Spring.

We would like to do as many orientations in person as possible. However, that will depend on the number of attendees signed up. If we have too many for in person you will receive an invitation to a zoom meeting.
